Hi, I’m Kayla Faye! I never imagined that a simple hobby would grow into the business of my dreams. In 2020, after becoming a mom, I was looking for something creative to help me through a season of postpartum anxiety and depression. Armed with Pinterest, Instagram Reels, and plenty of trial and error, I spent countless hours teaching myself the art of baking and cake decorating. What started as a way to heal quickly became something I couldn’t stop thinking about.

With my husband’s encouragement, I took a leap and started Cakes x Kayla. I began by creating cakes and cupcakes for birthdays, baby showers, and small weddings, and over the years I’ve been honored to celebrate everything from intimate family gatherings to large weddings and milestone events. Every order has been a chance to be part of someone’s sweetest memories, and I’m so grateful for every customer who has trusted me along the way.

Today, my greatest joy is teaching decorating classes.

While I still love creating custom desserts, there’s something incredibly special about watching someone discover they can create something beautiful with their own hands. Seeing students leave feeling proud, confident, and excited about what they made is the most rewarding part of what I do. My hope is that every cake, cupcake, and class leaves people feeling celebrated, encouraged, and inspired to create a little more sweetness in their own lives.
